Many people are disregarding the issue of climate change. Most people are not equipped and cannot easily comprehend. But global warming is on our way, over a time changing climate affected vulnerable sectors especially the farmers. Chances are, wherever we live we cannot anticipate everything. Some people think of some proof that it’s happening. Well, that proof just might right underfoot. Climate change not just about melting glaciers or hotter summers, it’s happening all around us if we know where to look and have been paying attention.

Yes, Pangantucan as always spared from terrifying weather events but it’s always better to be ready than sorry. We must be prepared to the worst-case scenarios. We must be prepared and we must brace hands together to face the vengeance of nature.

With the formulation of this Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan that adapted the principles and standards on risk reduction, I believed that this will lead and help us out Pangantucanons in overcoming the anguish that we may experience due to the occurrence of disasters in this locality.

We need to be mindful and respect nature. Be resilient and together we need to take care of mother earth.
