A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE MAYOR, MIGUEL A. SILVA,

JR., TO CAUSE THE REVISION OF THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN

(CLUP) OF THIS MUNICIPALITY AND TO ALLOCATE BUDGET IN THE

AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION PESOS (P1,000,000.00) FOR THE PURPOSE.

WHEREAS, this Office was in receipt of a letter from of

the Mayor dated September 14, 2017, requesting the

Sangguniang Bayan to allow the landowners of Barangay New

Eden to lease their titled agricultural lands to the banana

producer companies;

WHEREAS, as course of action towards the request, the

Sangguniang Bayan passed Resolution No. 370, series of 2017,

which denied the landowners’ request attributable to the fact

that the lands sought to be leased are within the protected

zone as indicated in the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP)

of this municipality;
